Warranty & Guarantee.
Should you experience problems during the lifetime of the guarantee, which are not the result of vandalism, accident, misuse, or unsuitable environments, your ColorFence USA products will be replaced free of charge.
What is covered?
Our 25-year warranty is a testament to our credibility as a company with high standards and a commitment to excellence.
With our warranty, you can rest assured that your Colorfence, ColorRail or ColorGate will remain serviceable and looking great for at least 25 years, as long it is used and maintained properly. Our warranty also emphasizes the sustainability of the lowest lifetime costs.
Your warranty begins from the date of installation. The warranty provides cover against inherent manufacturing and productions defects, provided materials have been installed in accordance with our guidelines.
Our 25-year warranty applies to all Colorbond steel manufactured products against faulty coating or production issues, as long as they have been installed, maintained and used according to our guidelines.
This warranty provides protection against any product failures resulting from manufacturing defects that may have arisen during the production process.
What is not covered?
It is important to keep in mind that warranties are intended to cover only defects that occurred during the manufacturing process. As a result, we cannot assume responsibility for or provide coverage for issues that arise due to:
- Incorrect fitting or installation.
Damage sustained during handling, storage, erection or after erection
Mistreatment, neglect, or insufficient maintenance. To ensure the products longevity, we recommend regularly and properly cleaning the surfaces to prevent the accumulation of any dirt or corrosive materials, as well as lubricating any moving parts during the warranty period.
- Incorrect fitting or installation.
- Movement of the ground or structural defects of any building.
- Storm, tempest, flood, fire, lightening or other acts of God or anything beyond our reasonable control, such as forced entry or vandalism.
- Any attachments or additions either permanent or temporary, that compromise the structural integrity of the product.
- ColorFence® that has been attached to concrete fence posts. We do not approve any installations that rely on the integrity of products or materials for our products performance, such as concrete or alternative posts structures.
- Superficial corrosion resulting from contact with other non-galvanized ferrous materials.
- Installations for ColorRail® and powder coated items only that are within 1km of severe industrial or other corrosive environments***
- Normal ‘wear and tear’ on products in use.
- A natural reduction in paint gloss.
*** Warranty can be provided for these products on a case-by-case basis. Additional anticorrosion pre-treatments may be required. A separate and specific Warranty will need to be agreed.
What costs are covered?
As long as the purchase has been validated within the stated terms and the defect occurs within the warranty period and falls within the scope of the warranty, we will repair or replace the item at our discretion. If identical goods are no longer available, we will replace the item with the nearest equivalent.
Our liability is limited to the supplied product and does not extend to any consequential loss or damage that may result from a defective product. We cannot provide coverage for incidental expenses or costs arising from the defect, such as loss of use, temporary replacement product or service rental fees, telephone calls, travel or lodging expenses. Inconvenience, time, or loss of business earnings. Furthermore, routine maintenance and care costs as well as the replacement of normal wear and tear items are not covered under this warranty.
If the product is damaged in anyway by any other unforeseeable events not associated with its typical use, the warranty on the affected part will be void until it has been repaired or replaced.
How do I get my warranty resolved?
To make a claim under the Warranty, Customers must provide in writing, detail of the claim, including proof of purchase and details of the installer to:

In the event a customer considers there to be a defect and submits a warranty claim, Colorfence USA reserves the right to inspect the installed product at any time. You must provide us or our nominated representative, with safe access to the product to assess whether it gives rise to a legitimate claim under this warranty. If the product is replaced pursuant to this warranty, any express warranty in respect of such product will extend for the remainder of the warranty period only.
All repairs conducted under the warranty must be performed by us or a repairer we authorize, who will adhere to our repair standards and complete the repair at our expense.
After the repair is finished, any faulty parts we remove become our property. If we perform repairs based on a claim but later determine that the product is misused or installed incorrectly, we reserve the right to hold you responsible for any expenses we incur.
